Some of the services offered through this Department are:-

911 Hotline
-Provides the public with an avenue of accessing the police quicker in any case of emergency, thus making it possible for the police to respond more rapidly.

922 Hotline
-Seeks to encourage the public to give any information in regards to crimes committed with more confidentiality.

Partnership for a Safer Belize
-Community Policing seeks to draw the public closer to the Police with an aim of working in partnership for a safe Belize. This is acheived through various programmes within the community policing concepts. Such concepts include the Police Youth Cadet Corp which conducts two annual camps per year, the Zone Beat Liaison Officer Programme, Citizen/Crimes Committee, Neighborhood Watch Programme, Police Crime Prevention Educational Programme. The wider concept of community policing involves our frontline officers who do “Beat”, Mobile and Bicycle patrols,whose efforts to crime prevention involve quick and efficient responses to call.

Public Awareness
-Distribution of crime/traffic safety pamphlets to the public, link-up with national radio and television, and meet with various sectors of the Police.
